Which software fits work on one-off vehicles? Here you can see, feature by feature, where the Werkstatt-Cockpit comes in and what stays in your ERP.
Pilot phase: The Werkstatt-Cockpit is in its pilot phase. Many of the features listed here are still in development and are being switched on step by step. The live demo shows you what already works today.
Five reasons for the Werkstatt-Cockpit
What you notice day to day once the workshop works with the cockpit.
01
Built for one-offs
Classics, conversions, restoration: every part has its part type (new, refurbished, in-house); refurbished one-offs also keep their origin. Left and right each have their own progress. Made for the individual vehicle, not for series production.
02
One scan, everything there
Scan the QR code on the vehicle: the work card with photos and caution notes, parts, torques, TDS and SDS are right at the position you are working on.
03
Proof builds up along the way
Scan the serial number at installation, scan the torque wrench, sign off. Duplicate serial numbers and expired calibrations stand out immediately. That becomes the vehicle record. Serial numbers and tool calibration from the «Business» plan.
04
Keeps working without signal
Every device keeps the data for its station locally. Sign-offs, photos and clock times follow as soon as the network is back. One app for Windows touch, iPad, Android and Mac.
05
Adds to your ERP, no big project
From the «Business» plan, orders and parts lists come in via CSV or Excel, clock times go back. After about three weeks of preparation, one station starts a four-week pilot. A fixed plan price by team size, however many tablets.
What always applies
- Servers at Hetzner in Germany
- Each workshop sees only its own data, separated in the database
- German (Swiss spelling) and English
- Updates without an IT appointment: automatic on Windows and Mac, iPad via TestFlight, Android after a quick confirmation

Key
- Usually yes
- Partly
- Usually not
For MileEngine, «Yes» means: part of the Werkstatt-Cockpit in the plan shown. Where it says «in development», the feature is planned but not yet switched on.

What stays where it is
The Werkstatt-Cockpit does not replace everything. It makes work at the vehicle easier and leaves the rest where it is well looked after.
Invoicing, accounting and stock stay in your ERP or garage software. The cockpit takes orders and parts lists from there and reports clock times back.
Customers and quotes you keep managing as before. The cockpit holds the vehicles being worked on, with everything needed for the job.
Series production on a line is the domain of MES software. The Werkstatt-Cockpit is made for one-offs and small quantities.
Compare it on one of your own vehicles
Try it free for 30 days, with sample data if you like. Or we show you the Werkstatt-Cockpit live in a video call with an order from your workshop.
